About Megan
Megan lives near Glasgow with her husband Zian and their cat, Ember.
Megan became a Christian when she was seven years old when she gave her life to Jesus during the children ministry at Spring Harvest. During her early teenage years she grappled with her faith and God confirmed his reality to her through his Holy Spirit and gave her a new passion to follow Jesus as a disciple. At the age of sixteen Megan got baptised on Easter Sunday. It was around this time she met her future husband Zian.
Whilst studying Philosophy at A-Level, Megan discovered the need for a firm foundation in the Bible and the ability to answer people’s questions about the truthfulness of her faith. In 2016 she began a four year degree in Theology at the University of St Andrews to study these things. In 2018, she married Zian, and later that year they moved home to Cornwall and both continued theological study, commuting to a Bible College in Bristol for lectures. In 2020 Megan graduated with a BA(Hons) in Theology, Ministry and Mission accredited by the University of Durham.
During Lockdown, she started online retail business with her husband, who also graduated with the same degree in 2021.
Megan work as Communications and Social Media Officer for the Free Methodist Church UK and Ireland as well as doing freelance copywriting work and training for ordination. Her and Zian live in Cornwall with their cat, Ember.
Bible With Megan was set up in response to God’s instruction to Megan to use what she learnt at University to create accessible resources for Bible Study. This began on YouTube and then transferred onto a Podcast format in April 2021. Megan also creates downloadable Bible Study e-books which can be found on the resources page of this website.
Megan believes Bible study is a core part of a life of following Jesus. She is passionate about Bible study not being a chore but a privilege, an exciting journey of learning that equips us to live as disciples.
Megan hopes that her resources will encourage people to fall in love with their Bibles and the beautifully crafted narrative of truth that it contains. She recognises that there is a responsibly we have as Christians to study the Bible well, within in its context and with a posture of teachability and submission to Christ.
She is strongly convinced that the work of good Bible scholars should not remain in the world of academic circles but should equip the Body of Christ in their everyday walks.
Megan hopes that her teaching will aid any Christian, regardless of age or academic qualification, to dive into their Bibles with sound interpretation and remove the fear of approaching the Word of God.
